I wasn’t expecting to be writing another post so soon, but I have exciting news! The wonderful Laura nominated me for the Sunshine Blogger award which I am so grateful for. Although my blog is still getting started I’ve put a lot of energy and effort into it and it’s really great to see that someone is noticing that. What is your favourite type of food to eat?
I absolutely love meals out in nice restaurants. If I could appear in a restaurant right now with the ability to choose anything on the menu, it would either be a spaghetti carbonara or a chicken Caesar salad. Pasta is one of my favourite foods and Caesar salad is perfect if you want a lighter option which is still full of flavour.
What was your favourite subject at school?
There is definitely one subject that stands out to me – I loved Psychology! I studied it during my A Levels and I found it so fascinating and interesting. I’d never really been much of a science person but this subject is so relevant to everyday life and it really does open your eyes to the world. I could literally talk about Psychology for hours! I managed to bag myself an A in my final exams which I was really proud of.
What is your favourite song at the minute?
This is a very tricky one to answer because my music taste is SO varied. I will answer with the music I’m currently listening to which is the ‘Greatest Showman’ album! I love love love musicals (I grew up singing and dancing nearly every day of the week) and when I went to see this at the cinema I knew it wouldn’t be the last time I saw it. I can’t wait to buy it on DVD!
What is your job?
I currently work as part of a sales team for a worldwide technology distributor. I’m so lucky that the office is so close to my home as it means I can drive home for my lunch and have cuddles with my puppy! As you probably know (if you follow my blog) I haven’t been working in this job for very long but I absolutely love it and, of course, my desk is full of pink!
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I’ve always loved America but right now I’m pretty happy living in the UK. If I had to choose somewhere in particular I may choose London, because of my love for shopping and all things pretty, but I’m not sure I could drive around! It’s such a busy place and I’m not the most confident of drivers. My second choice would be right down South by the beach, as I think it’s so beautiful.
What is your favourite blog to read at the minute?
I really love the Fashion Mumblr blog right now. I’ve been watching Josie’s youtube channel for quite some time and I’ve recently gotten into her blog, too. Definitely go and have a read! She has such wonderful style. Find it here.
Are you a sentimental person?
I like to think I am quite a sentimental person. I certainly plan gifts for my friends and family with a lot of thought because I like them to be special. I like to take other people’s feelings into account at all times and always try to be a good listener to those who need me. I’m also quite a big thinker (probably the reason I loved psychology so much!) in the sense that I like to ask questions and understand things about life, other people and also myself.
How do you cope when you’re stressed out?
If I’m having a stressful day at work I usually go home for lunch and have a cup of tea and some cuddles with my puppy (he gives great cuddles). I think my most stressful times in life were during both my GCSE and A Level exam periods. Unfortunately I injured my back from dancing a few years ago and as I became increasingly stressed I experienced some pretty bad issues with it. So, physically, I tried to ensure I was as active as possible when I wasn’t revising to keep myself moving. Mentally, I made sure I took time out and went out for a walk or watched my favourite tv programme to take my mind off of things.
What is your favourite childhood memory?
Although I don’t remember the entire thing, I know I loved my first ever trip to Disneyland in Paris. I have little memories of the restaurants and meeting the characters and seeing some of the rides. It was actually so cold that I had to wear my pyjamas under my clothes! I recently took a trip back last October with my boyfriend for our birthdays and it was like being a little girl again. Maybe I should change my answer above to ‘I would like to live at Disneyland’!
What do you want to have achieved in a year?
By this time next year I hope to have settled into my new job and made some progression towards my career. I also hope to have continued to write my blog and to have become even more successful than I have already. Most importantly, I’d like to have spent as much time as possible being happy and healthy!
What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
A few years ago I spent an entire month travelling Uganda and volunteering in local schools and animal sanctuaries. It was a huge eye opener and there were a number of times during my trip I witnessed/heard things I’d never been exposed to before. I also spent five of those days hiking and sleeping on Mount Elgon which was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

- What is the best TV programme you’ve ever watched?
- What inspired you to begin blogging, and why?

- Which is your favourite social media site – Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? Why?
